POETRY'S LOUNGE 2

THE THOUGHTS OF A GAMBLER

The money in your hand is not enough
It must be doubled, for more and more
Never mind those silly preachers,
They could never understand
Why settle for less when you could have more?

Oh no! You’ve lost to that other man!
All your money! All gone to that low-life swine!
Never mind, next time
Your luck will shine
And you’ll be on your way to la-la land

Yes, you made it, finally at last
All you lost is fully regained
However why make do with what you have
Why not try again for millions of cash?
Tis only a matter of luck
You made it once, why not again?

Oh no! It’s gone, all that beautiful lolly
Don’t fret, Don’t worry
You’ll soon find victory
Lots of money will be yours, you’ll see
Don’t worry, don’t be gloom, another time
After all, tomorrow is another day

Composed by OJIBARA AISHA Outgoing Health Prefect Longford International School. She like her contemporary are a class apart of the pack. Kudos!
