NIGERIA-TO BE MADE OR MARRED

The nostalgic feeling of an opposition party coming into power for the first time in Nigeria and the fear of that prediction by one paranoid foreigner that Nigeria will breakup last year took over my senses after Mr Jonathan called President Buhari conceeding defeat.

I constantly assured myself that all will be well. As for me i wanted the previous administration out for one reason; DECEIT

1. As an economist i know our economy is not well yet we throw out fantastic figures about how well our economy is doing.
2. Defense chiefs come on air to tell us all is well but my student in the military tell me his co-combatant are ill-equipped.
3. The then CBN governor blew the whistle about how millions of dollar got missing and it was he who got the boot.
4. Dangote was licensed to build a mega refinery but Nigeria cannot embark on such "illustrious" venture but we can appropriate money for frivolous celebrations.
5. Educational sector was at its worst-speaking from personal experience-we were told we are doing astonishing well
6. So much theft in the oil sector; giving the contract to protect our oil pipes to a militant leader while the navy was left to rot, paying subsidy to political associates who did not import a single drop of "kero" yet all is well, the cabal we will rid off. LIES!
7. "STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION" so lets not over flog the question of what this administration will do about the billions of dollars flying everywhere.
8. NNPC operated foreign account that were against the law and Dr Ngozi confirmed that. Somehow the whole issue died.
9. Sudden partial removal of petroleum subsidy while arguments were on on whether subsidy really exist.
10. Mrs Patience, Dr Ngozi and Mrs Diezani took charge of things while Mr Dasuki was making unchecked withdrawals all in the name of national interest. "Gbogbo e da leni?" ati bebe lo.

Until now all i wanted was honesty-Tell me what i need to know about the state of our economy, defence and other sectors. No sugar-coating, no poitical statements, no hanky-panky-this i have gotten.

1.Now i know how terrible my country's economy is.
2. Now i know the military would have been better if not for you-know-who.
3. Now i know that we might not have gas supply to our GENCOs as long as those vandals (who as at now have more fire power that our Navy) can't be stopped, hence no power.
4. Now i know that USA is not a friend. They found oil abi? shortly after we were discouraged from selling to China.
5. Now i know that anytime IMF visits somethings has to give otherwise something will happen to your currency. Christine_Lagarde he said he won't devalue. "Sho tan".
6. Now i know that anyone fingered in puncturing our "balloon" will not rest until he pays and points out his cohort.

The enlightenment continues and i'm yet to hear a political statement from the man at the helm of affairs. Until now i have no reason to doubt his words.

With the way things are moving, if Buhari outlives his antagonist we are made, however his failure takes us back to stone age. My one agenda for this administration is FIGHT CORRUPTION.

May God Almighty continue to strengthen him and his team. #iamforeveryoneandfornoone
