POETRY'S LOUNGE 1

SACRIFICIAL LAMB
Why?
Why?
An ache so deep in the heart
Cobweb mapped world
Blindness evades

Concept so deep than seen
I dreamt
A dream like no other
A little girl
Deep in thought

Adorn like a masquerade
She looks like an angel
As the heart of a supernatural being
She seems like a little girl
But has the heart of an adult

Why then?
Why then?
…Is she dressed like a masquerade?
I sat glancing at the little girl
What?

What could a little girl be doing on her own
The world is sympathetic
Hullo! I shouted
She looked at me
…like a strange person

A star sparkled in her eyes
She has never been loved before
She isn’t just dressed like a masquerade
The world made her that way
She isn’t enticed by Morpheus…like the world is
Pride comes from the masquerade attire
She is happy to signify what the world depicts
Wonderful!
A little lamb…that takes away the sin of the world

I regained consciousness
Behold
I heard the sound of a gong
The bearer sings a significant song
A song that captures the medulla

A wise man said that
When one has nothing you aren’t recognized
Poverty doesn’t suit anyone
Affluence produces two faces people
You can never depict the real face

You think you’re loved
Are you really loved?
Affluence is the root of the lovely behavior
They say good things to your face
Behind you it’s like you’re the devil incarnate
Trust is like a mustard seed
Few people should be trusted
Hmmm
I chuckled
I thought about my experience

You’re only known to them
…when assistance is wanted
Cunning is their number one attribute
Oh!
Just like an august visitor

My mind drifted to the little girl
Isn’t it worth to be dressed like a masquerade?
She sees the world just as it is
Heartless people with the face of a dove
What a world!

  1. When the society fails to protect the weak, they become vulnerable to all sort of social vices. God Almighty protect the elderly, our youth and the unborn generations.
